If i upgrade to vista ultimate will my programs be restored to the original way they were? - restored homes hdfc 2010

I have Vista Home Premium, but all programs in the media, such as Media Center and the reader is not working, and so far there is no way to fix it, I've tried to uninstall, remove and reinstall but it says it they need to leave, even though I am an administrator on my computer. To restore the upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate or another package Home and Student Programs of the natural shape they are? If this were not the ideas for fixing them help.
